The 22-year-old tennis player Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and has decided to continue with her coach into the 2026 season.
Raducanu reached the third round in three out of four Grand Slam events this year.
The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the last two tournaments this season as a result of a medical condition that has affected her over the past 10 days.
Raducanu, aged 22 was scheduled to compete in events in Asia but opted to return home to regain her health prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.
Her upcoming training are set to feature coach Francisco Roig, as they will keep partnering for the upcoming season.
She underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and retired when behind 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.
She needed once more a visit from the doctor at the recent Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.
Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the third set versus Zhu due to the lower back problem that has affected her on several occasions in 2025.
Those results meant an encouraging season, in which Raducanu rose into the top 30 globally after more than three years in more than three years, finished with a trio of defeats.
Raducanu had three match points then was defeated by American player Jessica Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.
The player achieved twenty-eight matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her standout performance was at March's Miami Open.
As Britain's top player reached the quarter-finals of this WTA 1000 tournament, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed on the way prior to a loss in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.
She worked with trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.
