Football Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Life

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' only away win this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have got plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
