Jones additionally clarified that the gesture was completely unintentional, happening amid the elation following the team’s final touchdown. “I simply showed the incorrect finger,” he noted. “It was accidentally done. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can. But it got corrected pretty quick.”

This incident isn’t the initial instance an NFL owner has been fined for inappropriate behavior. Previous cases involve:
